Client Feedback:
”Sounds like you are more than an actress by taking the initiative in putting more effort and research into your acting. You did the right thing by not allowing your emotions to interfere with the role-play. We appreciate your time, effort and talent. Look forward to collaborating with you in future assignments.”
Our Reply:
”That is very kind but I can’t take all credit for that one. It is what all our (MACA) actors do and what you should expect from a trained and experienced professional. Look forward to working with the team again.”

We reached out to MACA during COVID to ensure our medical vivas could go ahead. Brigid and the actors were fantastic and responded quickly to the task. MACA made sure that the actors were matched with the particular cases (e.g. age, gender, ethnicity) and the feedback from our examiners and students was that they did a great job in playing the role and being consistent to the brief. They all arrived on time, were prepared, courteous and engaged in the process and wanted to do the best they could. I thoroughly recommend them if you are needing actors to play patients.

We have been using MACA for our nursing assessments, and found the actors to be consistently professional, prepared, and reliable. The performers adapt easily to the spontaneous requirements of the scenario, which enables us to assess clinicians' decision making with a minimum of fuss. Using this service has improved our organisation's capacity to make appropriate decisions and recommendations about nurses' performance in clinical practice.

I have worked with the network of MACA actors for over 5 years and have never been disappointed with the quality and professionalism of the talent. Whatever the brief-- from the buttoned-up corporate mandate to the whimsical and creative job-- I am confident that Tony and Brigid will provide us with talent that will deliver a well-rehearsed and on-brief performance that consistently wows my clients. Brigid and Tony are wonderfully supportive partners in delivering the most challenging of projects and I look forward to my continued work with the MACA team.

Medical actors are an invaluable resource in medicine, particularly when it comes to training medical students. MACA actors were used many times at the Western Clinical School, University of Sydney, particularly in summative assessments where students had to take patient histories. The actors were much better at simulating patients than volunteers as they memorised the often complicated scripts with ease, and maintained the integrity of the roles over several hours, thus ensuring highly effective and reliable assessments.
The benefits to students are enormous when you use professional actors. Actors can give such realistic portrayals of medical conditions that students are totally absorbed by the performances and, as a result, their own learning increases appreciably.
Feedback from clinicians, examiners, tutors and medical students is always extremely positive for any teaching session involving actors and I would have no hesitation in recommending MACA to any of my colleagues working in medical education.

We have been using MACA throughout last year and this year and all our dealings have been professional and easy. Working with Tony I feel confident that he will find actors that suit our clients needs. The actors themselves are always delightful to work with and more than obliging. They are professional and well researched so when they are briefed on a medical condition they always have well rounded knowledge. I would not hesitate in recommending MACA to anyone who needs actors for Medical Research work.

Role acting for Medical exams can be specialised and difficult. I have found the actors from MACA to be willing, enthusiastic and very capable. I have had no hesitation in calling on the group for each exam so far and will continue to do so.
