Gary Friedman

Guest Speaker: Gary Friedman

In 1987 Gary Friedman studied with Jim Henson of “The Muppet Show” and went on to develop international educational projects for adults, including the ‘Puppets Against…’ series on Aids, Abuse, and Corruption, as well as Puppets in Prison.

In 1994 Gary was commissioned by the South African national broadcaster to cover the historic post-Apartheid elections. His puppets interviewed Nelson Mandela and other politicians for ‘Puppets for Democracy’.

After 20 years of adult educational projects, Friedman took on the producing of a two-hour daily show for South African television called “School TV” between 1999 and 2001.

The new year brings Gary’s latest project: Corporate Creatures. He has united a team of experienced television and corporate writer–entertainers with a highly skilled team of puppeteers, designers, and production crew.

At Choc Tops Gary will share his views on what pundits have dubbed the ‘second coming’ of the Web. He asks, “How has the world changed with Web 2.0 in the past 500 days? And what will the next 5000 days bring us in Web technology?”.

Gary is already looking ahead to Web 3.0.
