Forget the Easter Show, Show-Fest 2006 is what you have been waiting for!
Starting Wednesday, 19 April at 6.30pm, Show-Fest will run for three consecutive nights.
We have a great venue in the upstairs function room of the Paddington RSL.
Don’t forget that you can get (reasonably priced) drinks and take food upstairs from the bistro.
We have a different programme of short films each night:
Attend all three nights and you’ll be inspired!
Also, the fruits of the NAFA redesign project will be launched at Show-Fest. In addition to a brand new black NAFA t-shirt, we now have a NAFA shoulder bag.

A big congratulations once again to Checkpoint by Benjamin J. Phelps. He is the deserving winner of the audience vote for the first night of Show-Fest (i.e. Wednesday). Ben took away a swag of prizes donated from our sponsors.
Ben’s film now goes into the competition with the winners of the other two nights. There will be an overall winner of Show-Fest to be decided on the final night (Friday).
If you missed tonight, there are two more nights to go.
Congratulations go to Janine Hewitt, who won tonight’s (Thursday) audience vote for Score.
Score now goes into the competition both with Checkpoint (Wed) and the winner for tomorrow (Friday).
There will be an overall winner of Show-Fest to be decided by CPT on the final night (Friday).
Tonight was a great way to finish Show-Fest 2006.
The Friday night audience-voted best film was Chris Schwager’s The Exam — congratulations once again.
Though I can reveal it was very, very close.
The overall winner for the three days of Show-Fest was Checkpoint by Benjamin J. Phelps.
Congratulations to all our winners and, indeed, to all our finalists.
We saw some fantastic films — a good many were premieres (for which we felt very privileged).
Crowds were down from previous years but we all thought this could be attributed to the Easter break.
Those who attended had a great time. Almost everyone won a prize! Thank you to all our sponsors once again.
See you at the next meeting.
