Here’s your dilemma. You want a role in something. Obviously, your primary preference is to get cast in a well-written piece of scripted drama. Something to challenge you. A role to make your own. One day, you score that gig. And it’s paid! And it works out for you big time! You get noticed. Next, it leads to more and more work. You’re on a roll. Hollywood beckons.

Sound familiar? No? Or not yet? Not ever? Well, it doesn’t happen for a majority of actors. Most of the time, you’re just on the lookout for any scraps of paid work. These paid jobs come about so infrequently!

One income stream worth considering is being able to do a live role-play. But it’s not for everyone as it can be pretty intense. But if you are good at this format, the work can be varied and quite challenging.

Opening up to a broader discussion of exploring alternate income pathways, we will be sharing our experiences of live role-playing at MACA (Medical And Corporate Actors). Let’s compare stories.
