Guest Speaker: John O’Hare

John O'HareWAAPA and QUT graduate John O’Hare is co-founder of O’Punksky’s Theatre Company where he directed The Gigli Concert, The Faith Healer, and Carthaginians.

His reputation grew with accolades for his direction of Blue Remembered Hills at Belvoir and his co-direction of Arcadia at CTC. He also co-directed The Cripple of Inishmaan and The Shaughraun for both STC and MTC.

John’s co-direction of a production of Much Ado About Nothing with Maeliosa Stafford was nominated for Best Irish Production by the Irish Times, while his production of Wolf Lullaby won four Green Room Awards, with seasons at the Playbox, Belvoir St, and Griffin Theatre.

His TV appearances include “Home & Away”, Heroes II: The Return, “Wildside”, and “Cops LAC”.
