Guest Speaker: Billy Milionis

Billy MilionisBilly Milionis

Billy Milionis is one of the few Australians to have ever studied under the late Sanford Meisner, the legendary master teacher. He has also trained in Practical Aesthetics, the Stella Adler technique, and Lee Strasberg’s Method.

In Australia, Billy has studied with Campbelltown and Parramatta actors studios, NIDA Summer Camp, ATYP, The Actor’s Centre, Bill Pepper, the late Richard Wherrett, amongst many others.

Billy has appeared on Australian TV series and commercials, as well as numerous international feature films including Marriage Story 2, The Bangkok Bandit, and On Guard.

His theatre experience in the US and Australia includes Hamlet, A Streetcar Named Desire, Julius Caesar, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, There’s a Ghost in the Basement, M’Lord, and Insignificance.

Billy wrote, directed and produced the short film Lost Promises, which was selected for the Algarve International Film Festival in 1998. Another short, 5 Tables, was one of ten films selected out of a thousand for international sale by Tropfest. Both films have been seen by millions of people worldwide.

His theatre directing credits include Speed the Plow and Sunday on the Rocks.

Since 1994 Billy has been working as a professional drama coach. He founded his own studio The Actor’s Pulse in 1997.
