Guest Speakers: Bill Bennett & Jennifer Cluff

Bill Bennett and Jennifer Cluff are perhaps Australia’s most enduring and respected producing partners. Married for forty-two years, they have been making films together for nearly all that time.

Their body of work ranges from award-winning dramatised documentaries (including Cattle King, winner of Best Documentary at the Sydney Film Festival) to their groundbreaking Outback film noir Kiss or Kill (winner of Best Picture and Best Director at the AFI Awards).

Most of Hollywood’s major studios have distributed their films over the past four decades. Bill and Jennifer have won awards from some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals. As a director, Bill has been described by The Age as one of the world’s great film realists.

Their latest feature film, The Way, My Way is based on Bill’s bestselling Camino memoir of the same name. After six weeks in release it became the third-highest grossing Australian film of the year.

Penguin Random House recently completed publication of Bill’s supernatural thriller trilogy Palace of Fires.
