Our industry judges have chosen the seven films that will be screened at this year’s festival. The finalist films will be in competition for the Best Film award worth AU$8000 (including AU$1000 cash). The judges were: director, historian, and long-standing member of the Australian film industry Martha Ansara and documentary producer and director Rod Freedman.

Dr Mitzi Goldman has been making documentaries for over 25 years. Her films have been screened locally and around the world in both festivals and television. The films have received nominations and awards, including an ATOM Award for Best Social Issues Documentary.
