Guest Speaker: Rebekah O’Sullivan FRSA
Rebekah is an entertainment, intellectual property, and immigration lawyer with expertise in the entertainment visa process. She is a registered Migration Agent with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).
Rebekah works with creatives from the film, TV, music, and theatre industries representing agents, producers, directors, writers, musicians, and actors.
Her representations have included both domestic and international talent, such as: Chris Hemsworth, Liam Payne, Jason Derulo, MTV, and the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Rebekah was awarded a Global Entrepreneurial Scholarship by Bond University and the University of Southern California, receiving both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Law before completing her specialisations in Los Angeles at USC.
Prior to her move into entertainment law, Rebekah trained as a professional actor in London at one of the UK’s most prestigious acting schools. In addition to being a lawyer, Rebekah has been a professional acting and accent (dialect) coach over the past 20 years. She initially completed a degree in Journalism & Theatre Studies.
In recognition of her achievements and commitment to the arts, Rebekah was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) in London in 2016.
In 2018 she received an International Business Leadership Award and was nominated for the Natalie Miller Fellowship which recognises the next generation of female leaders in the Australian screen community.
Rebekah is a strong advocate for the arts industries and women in film.
