Gerry trained in London at E15 Stratford and in New York with Uta Hagen. Early films include Running on Empty, Early Frost and the lead in Melvin, Son of Alvin. Featured television roles include: “The Young Doctors”, “Waterloo Station”, “A Country Practice”, “Butterfly Island”, and as Brett Macklin on “Home and Away”.

 

Theatre highlights include roles with The Playbox, the Arts Centre, the National and St Martins Theatres in Melbourne. Favourite Sydney shows include La cage aux folles and A Streetcar Named Desire at Her Majesty’s and Othello at the Independent.

He hosted “Antenna” for 18 months on the ABC and the ratings winner “Double Dare” for Ten. With over 30 commercials and corporate videos under his belt, he currently teaches the TV Presenting course at NIDA and is the senior trainer in the Corporate Performance division.
