The introduction of affordable high definition cameras to the independent film and TV production spaces has resulted in an explosion in the number of programs vying for theatrical and broadcast distribution. With the ability to record to the ubiquitous MiniDV cassette, the HDV format has been at the forefront of this revolution.

JVC Professional’s Noel Oakes will showcase the ProHD camera system including the GY-HD111E, JVC’s flagship 1/3″ interchangeable lens HDV camera. All video will be displayed on state-of-the-art 100 cm HD monitors.

Independent filmmaker Johan Earl will show the trailer for his new feature film Shattered (shot by Marc Windon) and discuss the contribution of JVC ProHD cameras to the production.

Apple Australia’s Luke Caldwell will demonstrate the much-anticipated Final Cut Studio 2, the just-released upgrade to Apple’s video post-production suite.
