Paul Barry
Paul Barry is an actor, director, writer, and teacher. A graduate of NIDA (1996), he has since taught thousands of people, both at his alma mater and its counterparts such as WAAPA and AFTRS, as well as privately.
Paul has been a professional reader for almost every casting director in Sydney over the years. As a result, he has read for thousands of auditions, witnessing both unknowns and major stars making mistakes and producing gold. Based on this experience, Paul now regularly teaches his celebrated “Choices” workshop in Los Angeles, where he lives.
Co-founder of both Showreels Australia and Acting 4 Camera, and now a freelance actor, Paul has a wealth of experience in the areas of audition preparation and self-promotion.
Paul’s businesses have taught him the important difference between simply keeping ‘contacts’ and forging powerful professional ‘relationships’.
